Hallmark Hose Headquarters owner Dave Dauw and wife Carol are no strangers to the local community, or to the hose business. Dauw’s mother, Martha and her business partner Wes Robinson started Hallmark in 1984, in a tiny spot above a car the car dealership where they worked with fellow employee Tom Thorpe.  Their specialty in custom hose assemblies brought success and by the mid-nineties, the business had relocated to a 1,700 square foot outlet where Tim Bunda, a long-time loyal employee who remains with the business today, joined the team.  “I had always been familiar with the business,” says Dauw “and Carol has been involved for almost fifteen years. So, when mother made the desion to retire, it made sense for me to take over.”
Like so many entrepreneurs, Dauw is always looking ahead and always planning “We know a great many people in the community, but the thing that really sets us apart is service. When a manufacturer has a piece of machinery that’s down, that means they lose money every minute it’s not working. We need to identify the problem, make the solution and get it to them fast.
